Actually, while not the same thing, the CHP actually grabbed 88s in 1967 to be used as patrol vehicles. It was one of only two times the CHP opted for a non Dodge option as a standard issue car. Apparently, they couldn't handle for shit, so 1967 was the only year these cars saw service before going back to the tried and true Polara.
